Rega's Planar turntables are classics of the hi-fi world. The iconic Planar name has now returned with the arrival of an all-new Planar 3 turntable.
The new model will replace Rega's RP3. While those two models may look outwardly similar, they only share two parts, according to Rega.
Key differences include:
- A much stiffer plinth
- A re-worked central bearing with much tighter tolerances
- New RB330 tonearm with new bearings and housing
- New 'stressed beam' bracing
- New 12mm thick glass platter
